❄ Got the Winter Blues? ❄ We can face it together.💕

January can be so hard.  But it gives great opportunity.

It's normal to feel low during these months that the sun stays hidden, coming out for only glimpses at a time to tease us during frigidly cold days.🌨️

So we retreat indoors.  But the holidays are over, so the magic just feels long gone.  Without celebrations ahead, everything just feels gloomy. 😔 And despite the sun's limited appearances in the day, it sets so dang early that our nights seem to last forever.

Cold, lonely darkness.🌑 What can we glean from this?

First of all, it's okay to be sad.  It's okay to feel alone.  Our emotions are our greatest teachers about ourselves.  It's okay to sit in the dark and listen to what they might be revealing about you, your needs, and your desires.🕯️This season can be redeemed by using our struggles to examine ourselves.

This is the perfect time of year to dive inwardly.  Nature is quite and blank.  Let the season teach you to be the same.  Feed your soul with it's most nourishing food: Mindful silence.😶 In the quiet, our deep selves can finally speak. In the rest, we allow ourselves to heal.

We all come with brokenness.  Pain, suffering. That comes with being human. The goal isn't perfection. The goal is to acknowledge, be aware, embrace yourself, and allow for healing. So before the chaos of the year begins, let yourself rest this winter. ❄️ Allow for the quiet. 🌙

Because of this, I've been drinking more tea this month than likely ever before in my life.  I have a pot brewing several times a day, my cup is always full.  I'm thirsty for it, not just literally but for the clarity and serenity it brings me.✨ (No coincidence there with my girls' names).  Nothing soothes my soul, quiets my thoughts, and sparks inspiration like a hot cup of our tea. ✨ Truly.  It relaxes me when I'm wound up, envigorates me when I'm low, and allows for real contemplation when I'm searching.

My go-to's: Earl Grey Bouquet in the morning (or whenever I need an energy boost), Vanilla Nut Brûlée or Green Jasmine in the afternoon, and Cranberry Spice Sangria every night.  (Guys, I've been craving this tea sooo much. Every. Night.  In addition to it complex, pungent and bright flavor it brings, Cranberry Spice Sangria aids in digestion and is packed with wellness benefits🔥🤩).
